Day 08 : Depart Delhi
The rafting portions are mainly grade 2 with a couple of 3's. At low water level portage may be required at Chuka. Due to rampant poaching of the river by locals & bombing/poisoning by vested commercial interests the Golden Mahaseer is a threatened species & no guarantee of catch can be made. However to hook on to a mighty Mahaseer is an experience no angler will ever forget. Reputed to be the fiercest freshwater fish in the world, Mahaseer has been recorded at 120 lbs caught on rod & reel. Besides the flora & fauna to be seen on this totally wild stretch of river would delight any naturalist.
