Valley of Flowers Tour (IAT 013)

The valley of flowers is Nature’s garden of Paradise at an average altitude f 3700mtr. Above sea level. It is a high altitude pasture. The valley is approx 10km. Long and 2km. Wide and in its centre runs a stream called Puspawati which finally joins the Laxman Ganga. The “Sanjeevani Booti” which bought Laxman of Ramayana, back to life is supposed to be found here.

Day 01 : Drive to Rishikesh
Arrive at Delhi. Overnight in hotel.

Day 02 : Joshimath
After Breakfast drive to Ranikhet (Uttranchal). Lunch en-route. Overnight at Hotel/Tourist bunglow. Ranikhet has a beautiful views of the Himalayas and is a quaint old town.

Day 03 : Govindghat
After breakfast drive to Joshimath(250km.). lunch en-route at Karnaprayag. This is where Alaknanda meets Pinder river. Dinner and Overnight at Govindghat( tented accommodation) 20km. Further Joshimath.

Day 04 : Trek
Trek Govindghat –Ghangaria approx 15km. and 3 hour walk. This is at a altitude of 3050mtr. Above sea level. Dinner and Overnight at Ghangaria in tents.

Day 05 : Trek
Trek Ghangaria – Valley of Flowers (6kms.). Lunch in the Valley and then return back to camp at Ghangaria for the night ( 6+6= 12km. walk).

Day 06 : Ghangaria
Ghangaria-Govindghar trek 15km. Overnight at Govindghat. We might go to visit Badrinah 25km. away. I few don miss the gate.

Day 07 : Trek
Govindghat – Drive -Rishikesh (280km.) Lunch en-route. Stay in Hotel/Tourist Bunglow.

Day 08 :
Drive to Delhi.
